Oh, hi. Didn't see you come in there. Get it? Like, I totally saw because it's my show. You're just like, people watching at home. Oh, that's a great dad joke and I'm going to be a dad soon, so get used to a lot more of those.
Welcome to Ask the Meadmaker, where I, Ricky the Meadmaker, answer your questions about mead making, mead drinking, mead brewing, usually.
This week, I'm standing in my baby's room. The good thing is my baby isn't here yet. You see, this has been our spare bedroom for years, and we have pillows and blankets that you can't see, and boxes of Christmas things and boxes of Hanukkah things. We have boxes of boxes. The kinds of things you get in a spare room. There's nothing you can do to help me with this. But you can help me at the Mead Hall. You see, we have two offices. One is Kelly's office. It has filing cabinets, and Costco receipts, and a computer and all sorts of things like that. The other one is supposed to be a nursery. Over time, it has accumulated old bottles, cool old stickers, the last couple of glasses. Lots of things that really don't need to be there.
So, we're throwing a baby shower. We don't need you to bring us presents for the baby. We have lots of people who are going to do that. We need you to come and drink with us, because poor Kelly hasn't been able to drink in seven months. We need to have a drinking for two party. So, if you're watching this far in the future, and our baby's already here, I'm sorry. You've missed like the biggest party we're ever throwing, but if it's before April 22, good news! April 22, 2017, we're throwing our drinking for two party, also called the Viking baby shower! I want you to be there. I don't care where you live, come drink at our Mead Hall. If you can't make it, buy posters, buy glassware, help me clear out that room so that I have a nursery for my baby that's a little bit cleaner than this.
That's the end of our show this week. I'm going to get to this. I'll be back in two weeks with real questions from real meadmakers around the world. And I'll be less overwhelmed, I promise. Keep sending your questions and I'll get to them as soon as possible. Cheers.
