Can you buy mead online?
Yes. 100% yes.
Longer answer: Anyone in the United States over the age of 21 can buy alcohol online if they aren't restricted from buying alcohol for some other reason.1 Full Stop. The question is whether you can buy alcohol online and have it delivered to you.
Where can alcohol be delivered from the producer to my home, business, or pickup location?
Right now, consumers can legally purchase alcohol from a producer2 in 46 states plus DC. The missing four are Delaware, Rhode Island, Mississippi, and Utah. If you're in one of those states, have it shipped to a friend across the border and bring them a nice picnic as a thank you.
Every state has its own rules, but people in those 46 states and DC can have some amount of alcohol delivered to their homes.
Where can I buy mead online?
Obviously, you can buy it here. That said, there are numerous meaderies that sell online. We couldn't possibly list them all, but at the risk of playing favorites, we would also recommend that you check out Black's Fairy Meadery who sell online and make fantastic stuff.3
How much mead can I get?
That depends on where you live. Many states have monthly, quarterly, and/or annual shipping limits, but if you live in a few key jurisdictions4, you could have a pallet of mead delivered to your house.

What if I want to make my own mead instead of buying it?
Great news! We're an Open Source company, so all of our recipes are free online so you can brew it yourself.

Whatever mead calls out to you! You can always do a Google search or try brewing it yourself!
Is mead expensive?
Most craft mead is the same price as craft beer. Most honey wine is the same price as a good, local wine. For much, much more on the subject, we wrote an entire article about it.
[1] If you are currently in hoosgow, you are usually prevented from buying alcohol, but if you wish to give mead as a gift to your friends on the outside, you'll want to talk with your lawyer. They may be able to help. We presume that very few people reading this article are in this particular predicament, but we wanted to cover all of our bases.
